Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is a Scottish born and bred singer. Her birth date was 24 December 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox was accepted by the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 1970s where she took flute lessons as well as the harpsichord for a period of three years. Her budget was supplemented by a student's allowance, and she worked part-time to earn a living. Lennox was a student in the Royal Academy of Music in London, was not happy with her performance compared to the other students. She began considering other options. Lennox was a flute player as a member of a group in 1976 named Dragons Playground. However she left when the band was featured on I.T.V.s talent competition New Faces.
