Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is a Scottish native singer. Her birth date was 25, December, 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox was a student for three years in the Royal Academy of Music London in the 1970s, was admitted. Lennox's budget was increased by a stipend to students and part-time jobs. Lennox was not happy with the quality of her skills compared to others at Royal Academy and began looking at other options. Lennox joined a group called Dragons Playground as the flute player in the year 1976. However, she left prior to her group being requested to take part in I.T.V.'s talent contest New Faces. Between 1977 and 1980, she was the lead vocalist for The Tourists, a British Pop band. Here she met Dave Stewart who would later create Eurythmics. Lennox was then able to begin work on her debut solo album Diva that was out around 1992. It was a huge success both commercially as well as critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs six-album solo, released in October 2014 included Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. is a selection of Lennoxs favourite soul jazz and blues tracks from her early years. Lepidoptera is a collection of four improvised tracks for piano, which Lennox released in May, 2019. The E.P. is an accompanying piece for her installation of art at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called Now I Let You go... It's also her first independently released album. Annie Lennox was born in 1954 on December 25. She is a philanthropist, activist as well as a singer. The latter part of the 70s was when Lennox gained some not-so-great fame while the lead singer in The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international notoriety in the 80s under the name Eurythmics. Lennox launched her own solo career when she released her first album Diva in 1992. The album was the inspiration of many hits songs such as"Why" and "Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa her 1995 studio album has cover versions of songs such asNo MoreI Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. Her solo albums include six studio albums and compilation albums.
