Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter of Richard McCormick. She was born August 5, 1956, in Woodland Hills California. Her father taught in the school system while her mother was a stay-at-home mother. Her older brothers are: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick started dancing and singing at an early age and often performed plays with puppets for children in her area. She won her first contest, the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest when she was just 6 years old and was contacted through Pat Domigan, a talent agent with the Jack Wormser Agency. He asked her if she wanted to work in the business of show production. McCormick got her first big work in 1964, when she starred in a commercial on television for Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. The following year, she starred for the firm's Chatty Cathy Doll and was immediately chosen to play the La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp and ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick, which was chosen out of 200 auditioned kids, played the older of three two-headed daughters in The Brady Bunch (1969) with Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. This show lasted for five seasons. In her memoir Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice published in 2008 McCormick revealed that during the shows fifth season she nearly lost her virginity due to her onscreen co-star and brother Barry Williams. In 2008, she revealed in her book, Here's the Truth: surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice that in the fifth season of the show she almost lost her virginity to Barry Williams.
